There has been a lot in the news of the upcoming government buy back of “Assault Style Firearms”. what started as a prune of AR-15’s etc, has now been expanded to include more than 12,000 styles of guns. The merit behind this is highly suspect. It is questionable as simply a gun grab and political theatrics for the Canadian Federal Government.

Presently, Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba Governments are planning measures to circumvent this ridiculous new gun grab. The reasons for this are very apparent to Educated FireArms Owners. However, it is seemingly too hard for the non firearm license holders to understand. The criteria for the weapon being banned can be as small as a pistol style grip. Now it should be said. It is incorrect to believe Canada’s legal firearms owners are committing mass shootings. This misconception can be countered. Simply state that the Canadian limit for a rifle is 5 bullets in the magazine. That’s it. no legal Canadian weapon could do much damage with a 5 round limit in term,s of mass shooting. But this issue is even more absurd. I will demonstrate this here to show the rational individuals what is ludicrous and outright stupid. This should help the Liberals fully understand this logic.

Canadian guns are limited from an ammunition magazine capacity standpoint. Let’s look at a couple of other facts. I doubt people realize these. In Canada, we need to hunt to own guns. As such the first thing you need to obtain is your Hunter Conservation Course. This goes over basic hunting regulations, firearm safety, etc. Once you have completed that course, you can then take the Canadian Possession and Acquisition License Course. Upon passing your exam for this course, you will then need to apply for your PAL. This entitles you to acquire and use long guns, all weapons classified as non-restricted more specifically.

Next, to own a handgun or another restricted weapon, you need to sit a second course. You must pass the exam to apply for your Restricted Possession and Acquisition License (RPAL). now you can own a restricted weapon. You will need permits and approval to buy the gun. You also need them to transport the gun. Additionally, you need permits and approval to travel to and from the firing range. Now part of the initial PAL application will ask about criminal convictions. If you have any, you may not get your PAL.

For RPAL, your name will go through the CPIC (Canadian Police Information Check). This is the most important fact that people need to understand. It will happen with the RCMP every day. If you break the law in any way, the RCMP will come by your house the next day. They will confiscate your weapons. Everyday! our criminal records are monitored every day. Let that sink in. these are the people you are trying to snatch legal guns from. These are law abiding citizens. They have had to challenge their knowledge of firearm safety. They live a non criminal life for the honor of Sport Shooting. These are the people that are having their guns confiscated (call it what you want).

What guns are being asked to be bought back and are being classified as prohibited are where the real insanity begins. The criteria is so ridiculous, that a .22 caliber rifle is on the prohibited list. a 22 cal rifle that can shoot maximum 5 rounds. On the best day you might get a rabbit with that. yet, the GSG-16 “looks” scary to non gun people, so they prohibited it. here is what Google says about 22 caliber :

Small animals up to a fox or coyote can be taken with a . 22LR. Shot placement and distance play a factor in lethality though. so this is not exactly a lethal weapon by any stretch, giving the mass shooting reason a complete FAIL. so this is what the taxpayers are paying to buy back to get violent weapons out of the hands of criminals????? just what the hell right?? only a moron would believe this is a dangerous weapon that criminals are using to commit crimes. The fact remains that this is what a GSG16 looks like,

See a Difference? no , neither do we. but if you bought the GSG=16 you are now holding a prohibited weapon on what actual grounds can you prohibit this? oh right, because it scare people, keeping in mind, you are maybe going to kill a fox if you aim just right and hit the animal in just the right place. This is not a shooter or Mass shooter gun, it isn’t worthy of even committing crimes with. but its banned now.

here are a couple Chiappa Mares leg style 1892 rifles. these are 24 inches long one shoots a .357 magnum and one shoots a 45 colt.

These are Non Restricted and not on the BAN list. they hold 5 rounds, just like the carbines, are available in carbines with a full stock. either one of these weapons will take your head off pretty easy. these are for hunting deer, black bear, or wild boar. So, you are reading that correct, 4 TIMES THE KILLING POWER, BUT THE LITTLE 22 IS NOW BANNED NOT THE CHIAPPAS. the list of these under powered little carbines being banned for no other reason, than a pistol grip that scares non gun people. little note here ALL GUNS SHOULD SCARE NON GUN PEOPLE, THAT DOESN’T MEAN GUN PEOPLE SHOULDN’T BE ABLE TO OWN THEM!!!.

I will give a few more examples of this lunacy in a separate post, but at this point, it needs to be said. there were less than 600 firearm crimes reported for legal gun owners involving firearms in 2023 . there was at that time more than a million gun owners, and these crimes include improper storage etc. this isn’t a made up number this is Canadian publicly available information : HERE . this is the Firearms and violent crime in Canada, 2023 report from the federal government.

In closing, with simply a glance t this legislation you can see it is vote getting, bullshit politics. One would be wise to remember the famous quote, “First they’ll come for your guns” and lastly, one should remember this , Nazi Germany used the same method of Gun Control , before they did what they did. read about that here
